वस्तुराज्वल्लभ् प्रथ्मोध्याय् , श्लोक सप्तम्, Vaasturaj vallabha, Vastu Tip

"चैत्रे शोककरम् ग्रहदिरचितम् स्यन्माध्वेअर्थ्प्रदम् 
ज्येश्थे म्रित्यूकरम् शुचोपशुहरम् तद्व्रिद्धिददम् श्रवने 
शून्यम् भद्रपदे त्विशे कलिकरम् भ्रित्यशयम् कर्तिके 
धन्यम् मर्गसहस्ययोदहन्भिमर्गे श्रियम् फल्गुने"

वस्तुराज्वल्लभ् प्रथ्मोध्याय् , श्लोक सप्तम्

This sloka explains the timing related to construction of dwellings. The Sloka is defining the months which are more auspicious for construction of a house. The construction of a dwelling in  Chaitra brings grief. Vaishaka brings wealth and Jyeshtha brings untimely demise for its inhabitants. Asad decreases assets (Pashu or domestic animals are considered assets in ancient India ), Shravan increases the assets. Bhadra gives zero results and Aswin brings quarrels. Kartik destroys servants and helpers and Marga and Pausha brings wealth. Magha brings fire related disasters and Phalguna gives wealth.  (please look for the table for Roman counterpart) 





It is better not to take this sloka in a literal sense but this sloka should be used when we are deciding Muhurta for building a dwelling. The months are mentioned in the table below.

Vaishaka, Shravan, Marga, Pausha and Phalgun are good and rest are not good.
