VASTU SUTRA: Basements are considered very bad in Vastu. According to ancient Vastu treatises basement is the abode for negative entities and should never be constructed inside a house. Basements are good for doctors(Not pediatricians),labs,bars,wine shops, printing press etc. These professions are dominated by Rahu, the evil doer. In spite of all this I never recommend basement as they prove fatal in long run.
